Introductory Videos: "October Skies". Analysis and debate. Knowledge base. Principle of operation of rockets. Galileo's laws. Types of Movement: uniform and accelerated. Experiments. Newton's laws. Forces. Mass. Inertia. Principle of action and reaction. Ballistic velocity and escape velocity. Orbital ballistic flights.
Design and development: teamwork designing rocket models of different wingspan, power and aerodynamics. Computer simulation: use of the flight simulator for Computer Aided Design (CAD). Verification of the feasibility and safety of the designed model. Centers of pressure and gravity. Stability. Maximum speed and height.
Construction: selection of materials and elements. Construction of the different parts. Assembly and assembly. Releases: safety regulations. Preparation of launch platform and firing control table. Assembling the rockets on the launch towers. Launch and recovery. Flight evaluation. Verification of centers and stability tests.
The built rockets are the property of the visiting institution (college/school) and can be reused by only replacing the solid fuel motor, which is disposable once the flight has been completed.
